Project Description: Wisedecor.com, a division of Quotescape, creates custom decorative lettering for the home or office. Rossul Design was contracted to completely redesign the wisedecor.com website to make it more appealing, more shopper-friendly and more intuitive for the customers.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a new, updated version of the fully functional online service that, despite numerous sections (Idea Gallery, FAQ, Monthly Specials, etc.) would be simple to use. The new site would also have to instantly appeal to a constantly growing audience.
The Plan
The plan was to redo the entire front-end code, to take full advantage of latest technologies. At the same time, it was important for the client to be able to easily make timely updates using a content management system. Rossul Design also concentrated on creating a prioritized navigational hierarchy, to help improve sales as well as making it simple for site visitors to access the information they were looking for.
The Design
Rossul Design created a new look and feel that preserved and reutilized the existing colour palette, making the updated site very familiar to Wise Decor users. The GUI redesign allowed customers to enjoy benefits of consistent layout, logic-driven colour application and improved intuitiveness.
The Result
The new website is not only SEO friendly with 100% indexable code, but the new improved GUI makes it user-friendly as well. The site visitor’s shopping experience has been greatly improved with a site navigation that is instinctive with eye-catching banners.
CSS-Driven Approach
The entire front-end of the site is purely implemented in CSS, which allows easy content management system (CMS) integrations with back-end code. This means effortless updates and look and feel changes for the client.
Custom Banners
Custom banners as well as homepage banners templates have been designed to showcase ongoing news and direct users to specials and promotions.
New Consistent Colour Palette
A new, brand-based colour palette enhances website functionality and greatly contributes to ease of use and a sense of familiarity.
Search-Engine Friendly Design
Easily expandable, search-engine friendly footer that serves as a site map and makes it a snap to see the entire site at glance..
